From an ocean to another

Originally from Vancouver, the two Armstrong sisters founded PARTYSKIRTS in 2012. It all started from the great comments regarding the skirts they would do for themselves. After realizing there was actually a big demand for their style, they decided to launch the PARTYSKIRTS line. Mostly available online (shopbob.com), the line is also in Vancouver. This fall, PARTYSKIRTS is now reaching out closer to us, in Toronto.

Last week then, I was at Mendocino, on Queen Street West to celebrate PARTYSKIRT’s arrival in town. During this intimate event, Lauren and Mariel were present to talk about their line and let us try on our favorite outfits! PARTYSKIRTS, like its name says, are skirts. But amazing, unique, colorful and festive skirts with a shiny and vintage look… just in time for the busy holiday season coming up. The Winter/Fall collection is actually perfect for partys, dinner between friends or even just for a special day at work. Two sizes are available: The Classic come just at mid tight, and the Lady Lenght arrives just over the knee. Looking great with stilletos, blalerinas or even short boot…I’m a fan! And different colors for everybody, every mood: Deep Sea, Emerald, Pink Sapphire, Navy, Sapphire and Red Marsala.

So many options, but I decided to try on the lady length Red Marsala along with a pink laced-top. Oh-so feminine, I also love the vintage touch that PARTYSKIRTS has! My look was immortalized by a very talented artist present on site.

Unfortunately, PARTYSKIRTS is not available (yet!) in Montreal, but we really hope it will just be a matter of time. Until then, you can shop Lauren & Mariel’s skirts online! Happy shopping!
