Crepes for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Toronto!

Who said that pancakes were only made to enjoy during breakfast? This is an absolute no-no... Pancakes can be enjoyed anytime of the day!

And they can be enjoyed savoury or sweet at Crêpe & Co, the new european creperie and cafe located on Queen Street West.

The Owners

Owners Andrey and Natalie Verbitsky were inspired to open the café in celebration of Andrey’s mother’s famous sweet cheese crepes. His mother’s recipe was used to create the “Mon Cherry” crepes found on the restaurant’s menu. “This recipe is what started it all for us,” explains Andrey. “Natalie was inspired by my mother’s simple recipes and took them to the next level when we developed the menu for the café.”

The Verbitskys are avid supporters of Queen West’s local arts scene, so you’ll see some beautiful artwork on the walls of the cafe. I really like the decor and the design of that place, it’s really pretty!

My Experience

My boyfriend and I went to Crêpe & Co for the very first time on a Sunday at around 11am for brunch. I didn’t really know what to expect, except eating a nice sweet crepe. I was very impressed by the friendly service we received and the place itself was really cute and charming. We ordered a latte to begin: I had the maple latte – very delicious – and my bf had the toffee latte – very good as well! I was beyond impressed by the coffees, much more better than your regular Starbucks! Then, we ordered two pancakes: the apple crisp and the red velvet crepe cone parfait. Yes, we were in a “sweet” mood! Both crepes were really good!! I had some trouble eating the fancy crepe cone, but for those of you who knows that red velvet is what I prefer, you know that I was in heaven that morning! Overall, the experience was great. Their menu is very well explained and you can also find the perfect wine/beer pairing for each meal. Plus, the decor and the friendly service made my experience almost perfect. I will be back for sure and try a savoury crepe this time!
